Obituary of Leslie Linwood Randall
Leslie L. Randall, 87 passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 after a long illness.
Leslie was born April 26, 1924 to Lester and Marie (Bates) Randall in Whitman, Mass., and had been an Akron resident since 1969. He was employed by Monsanto Corp. for 33 years, retiring in 1991. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea. He was active as a Boy Scout leader for many years, serving as a District Scout Commissioner, and was a member of the American Legion.
Leslie is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mabel (Butler); children, Denis (Nancy) Randall, Kathy Dremann and Karen Kiss, all of Akron; grandchildren, Jason (Amy) and Jeremy Randall; Douglas (Danielle) and Christopher Dremann, Samantha (John) Moss and Sara Kiss; and his great-granddaughter, Kirstin Moss. In addition to his parents, Leslie was preceded in death by his great-grandchildren, Philip Denis and Alena Mary Randall.
The family will receive friends Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. A funeral service will be held Sunday, 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place Tuesday at Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, Mass. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , P.O.
