Obituary of Frank J. Pramuka
FRANK J. PRAMUKA
On April 3, 2011 Frank J. Pramuka passed away peacefully. His family is grateful he is united with his cherished wife, Barbara. For all those who knew him, his pride for his family, Slovak heritage and golf game was very evident.
He spent many years owning his family grocery store and finished his career retiring from the United States Post Office. If he wasn't working to provide for his family he was on the golf course.
Frank can also proudly be remembered for his service to our country as a World War II Veteran of the 20th Tank Destroyer Group, member of Knights of Columbus, Sokols and St. Paul's Catholic Church.
He is proceeded in death by his wife of 52 years, Barbara and survived by his children: Mark (Marianne), Barb Von Gunten (Dave), Gary and John (Therese). His pride and joy were his grandchildren; Tiffany and Curt Von Gunten, Joe (Brigette), Jim, Matthew, Anna Rose, Lilly and Ella Pramuka and great grandson, Jaxon Pramuka. He is survived by his sister Irene Buerhle (Robert) and brother Tom (Julie) Pramuka and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Maison Aine' Staff for providing wonderful, compassionate care for our dad.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 9:30 am at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko- Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron, OH 44301. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
