Obituary of Anne Flora

Anne (Yova) Flora, born February 20, 1925 in Akron, Ohio went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 2, 2011. She was a wonderful wife, an awesome mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Annie loved to bake and cook, read and listen to books on tape and just being a mom to "everyone". She was an avid prayer warrior for many. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be so missed by all that words can not express. She was a faithful member of The Chapel where she taught 3 year olds for over 30 years. She planted many seeds for Jesus in those little hearts. She loved kids as she showed in her job with the Akron Public Schools as a Teacher's Aide. She was also a member of TOPS where she had many friends all trying to Take Off Pounds Sensibly! She was preceded in death by parents, Kostan and Sophie Yova; brothers, Paul and John Yova; and sister, Mary Pescan. She is survived by husband of 63 years, Nick Flora; son, Rick (Chris) Flora; daughters, Nancy (Ray) Satterblom and Janet Flora; sister, Flo Sinea; grandchildren, Kyle (Sarah), Nick (Rebekah) and Kevin (Courtney) Satterblom and Erik, Adam and Amy Flora; and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Noah, Briella, Easton and Micah Satterblom. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Rev. Eloy Pacheco officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to go to Camp Carl, c/o - The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio 44304.
