Obituary of Martha A. Burgess

Martha A. Burgess (nee Horoschak), 56, fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her home. She was born in Akron and was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. She was an avid bowler, a fan of the Green Bay Packers Football Team and a big fan of the Disney Character, Goofy. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents, Nicholas and Vurlie (Phillips) Horoschak; infant brother, Nicholas Horoschak; mother-in-law, Wanda Burgess; godfather, Sam Letta; godmother, Jaye Sikora; and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her sister, Connie Pysell; niece, Nicole (David) Majewski; great-nephew, Nicholas Majewski; step-mother, Bettie Horoschak; aunt, Helen Letta; and father-in-law, Lloyd Burgess. Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore where Martha will lie in state and friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Very Rev. Fr.
