Obituary of Ronald J. Kayatin
Ron passed into the loving hands of our Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012 after a brief illness.
Ron was a devoted father and grandfather who lived his life for his family, always graciously putting others before himself. A 1951 graduate of St. Vincent High School, he was a faithful Catholic - a member of Queen of Heaven Church for over 35 years and the Jednota Club. He worked in the grocery business since his high school years, eventually taking over his father's vending business until his retirement. However, he took leave from work to serve in the Korean Conflict as a member of the Military Police. He was an avid bowler and sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty, his precious granddaughter Ashley Greiner, and his parents Alice Kayatin and James Kayatin. He is survived by his children, Christine (George) Cabe, Cathy (Tim) Greiner, Tom (Diane) Kayatin, Mike Kayatin, and Michelle (Doug) McGee, and his grandchildren, Isaac, Meredith and Rebecca Cabe, D.J. Greiner, Kayla Kayatin, and Zach and Noah McGee.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. (corner of Steese Rd. at the round about) in Green where a Rosary service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
