Obituary of Gwendolyn Gwennie Urban

Gwendolyn 'Gwennie' Urban, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her home. Gwennie was born to Aubrey S. and Genevieve (Sharpless) Adams in Akron and had been an Akron resident most of her life, spent 10 years in Florida and returned to Akron. She was a member of the former St. Martha Catholic Church and attended Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was ready at a moments notice to play bingo and loved trips to Mountaineer with her family and her friends at Manor Care. Gwennie called Manor Care her home for the past 4 years. She was involved with the other residents and staff and even served as the President of the Manor Care Residence Council. Her family is grateful to the love and care shown her and is especially grateful to Tula and Loretta for their many kindnesses. Gwennie was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1986 and brother Ted Adams. She is survived by her children Judie (Steve) Nervo of Akron, Peggy (Jeff) Cooley of Green, John (Janet) Urban of Colorado and Paul (Jean) Urban of Akron; former son-in-law Tim Considine; brother Edgar (Pam) Adams; grandchildren Michele Considine, Jennifer Kelly, Nicole (Nate) Marconi, Cory (Siobhan) Considine, Matthew (Michelle) Cooley, Jackie (Bob) Lucey, Joe Cooley, Carrie Urban, Tonie and Courtnie Urban; great grandchildren Meghan and Tim Kean, Colin and Ryan Kelly, Cale, Luke and Camden Marconi, Carter Considine, Bobby, Madeline and Jack Lucey and Logan and Aiden Urban. Funeral Services will be held Monday 9:30 Am at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. and 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
