Obituary of Catherine 'Cathi' Louise Trathen

Catherine L. Trathen, born April 6, 1938, died peacefully at home on March 12, 2011 surrounded by her beloved family and the music of Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd. She was married for 54 years to the love of her life, John T. (Jack) Trathen. She is also survived by her sons John (Tracy Deep) and Doug (Lenore); grandchildren Kyle, Justin, and Sydney; sisters Jane (Charles) Bolanz, Mary (Paul) Arvin, and brother James (Jeanine) Case; She was dearly loved by 10 nieces and, nephews, their children and many friends and neighbors. A lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Cathi graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in January 1956. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Molly (Hedges) Case. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church (Cuyahoga Falls) on Wednesday, March 16, at 11:00 a.m. An Open House will take place throughout the afternoon and evening celebrating Cathi's life at Doug and Lenore's house, 2035 10th Street, Cuyahoga Falls.
