Obituary of Robert Frank Zganjar

Robert Frank Zganjar (Zip, the Welder) Robert Zganjar, 76, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 27, at his home in Akron. Born in Barberton on May 14, 1934 to the late Frank and Anne Zganjar, Bob had been a lifetime area resident. He retired from PPG industries as a certified welder. Bob served his country as a member of the US Naval Reserve. He was a member of the Firestone Park VFW Post #3383 and the Kenmore American Legion Post #449. He was an honorary lifetime member of the Portage Lakes Bass Club. Bob loved his family and his country. He loved bowling and hunting, but his passion was fishing. Bob is survived by his devoted wife Mary Jane; his children David (Cindy), Fonda (Frank), Daniel (Yolanda), and Thena (Paul); grandchildren Amanda, Robert II, Joshua, Brian, P.J., Makara, Nikolette, and Dawn; great-grandsons Dominic, Jerimiah, and Donovan. He will be remembered by many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Michael B. Smith on Thursday at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenmore.
