Obituary of Georgia Tropeano
Georgia Tropeano, 90, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2011, at
Traditions at Bath Rd.
Born in Akron on May 6, 1920 to the late Theodore& Anna Lontchar,
Georgia had been a lifetime area resident. She was a longtime member of
St. Demetrius Orthodox Church.
Georgia was a lady who always lived life to the fullest. She never
complained and always had a wonderful sense of humor, even until the
end. She will always be our 'Georgia Peach'.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her
husband Henry in 2001, as well as 12 siblings. She is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law George& Kimberly Tropeano of Akron and
granddaughter Emily Tropeano, also of Akron; sisters Marjorie (Vincent)
Delmedico of Uniontown and Nada Tollini of MI.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of
the home health aides that were with Georgia over the past 8 years, as
well as all of the caring staff members at Traditions.
The family will receive friends TODAY from 5-8 pm at the Anthony
Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron.
Funeral services will take place on SATURDAY, 12:00 pm (PLEASE NOTE
CORRECT DAY OF SERVICE)at St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church on
Ridgewood Rd. in Copley, where Georgia will lie in state for one hour
prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
