Obituary of Nancy E. Saffles

Nancy E. Saffles, 79, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011. She was born in Akron, was a devoted mother and grandmother and was a member of the Akron First Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sister, Patricia Turner; and great-granddaughters, Emily Medeiros and Emily Clark. She is survived by sons, David (Mary) and Jeff (Angela); daughters, Wendi (Fred) Schlegel, Rebecca (Fred) Martin, Patricia Fairchild, Tammara (Timothy) Howell and Tonya (Edward) Johnson; brother, Eddy (Pat) Turner; sisters, Alice (Dale) Crabtree and Janis (Al) Rady; 25 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held SUNDAY at 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Pastors Ted Bartter and Jerry Chase officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. The FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS on SATURDAY from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N.
