Obituary of Nina Sue Cartwright

AKRON - Nina Sue Cartwright, 76, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Akron General Medical Center. She was born in Chickamauga, Georgia and was an Akron area resident for most of her life. She loved to crochet, enjoyed playing Mahjong, never met a stranger and was liked by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Lee (Lawson) Jackson; husband, Gilbert W.; and numerous sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Cartwright, Susan and Tim Thomas and Kim and Carson Hill; sons, Bill and Gilbert E. Cartwright; grandchildren, Timothy (Melissa) and Nina Thomas and Mark Cartwright; great-granddaughter, Mia; and special niece, Dianne Cartwright. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Further services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 3505 Embassy Pkwy., Akron, Ohio 44333.
