Obituary of Barton R. Shroyer

Barton R. Shroyer, 51, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home. Barton was born August 13, 1961 to Raymond and Evelyn (Oaks) Shroyer in Akron, lived in Texas for eight years and returned to Akron until moving to Green in 1997. He was employed by Sports Construction Group as a Project Manager for 17 years. He also helped his wife with her landscaping company, 4 Evergreen Landscaping. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Barton loved to golf, especially with his son, loved drinking Corona and watching Steelers games with his wife. He also enjoyed home improvement projects. Barton is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Terri (Metarko); his son, Mycal; father-in-law, George (Barb) Metarko; sisters-in-law, Tami (Mark) Brown and Toni (Kurt) Kallenborn; nieces and nephew, Megan and Kelsey Brown, Kord Kallenborn and Autumn (Jake) Starcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scott; and mother-in-law, Marla Metarko. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 4 p.m. at the Anthony and Son Funeral Home of Green (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance on Steese).
