Obituary of Veda Botz

Veda Marie Botz (Marzich), 89, passed away February 2 in Columbus, OH. Veda was born on July 1, 1921 to Anthony and Caroline (Kalain) Marzich in Akron and married Frank L. Botz in 1941. Veda was preceded in death by husband Frank in 2007 and her sister Olga Gracan in 2004. Survived by son Frank K. Botz of Sunbury, OH; daughter Victoria and husband Lawrence Taylor of Powell, OH; daughter Valerie and husband Dr. Christopher Morris of South Hero, VT; 4 granddaughters--Julie (Scott) Miller, Stefanie (Robert) Simer, Victoria & Jennifer Morris; also 5 great-grandchildren—Zachary and Jordan Miller and Katherine, Julia and Grant Simer; niece Dolores Gracan and nephew George Gracan and his family. She was both a homemaker and a beautiful seamstress. She and her husband loved music and enjoyed dancing together for over 60 years. They were long time members of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Since 2005 she was a resident of Mayfair Village Nursing Center in Columbus, OH. Friends who wish may contribute to Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday 9:00 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 6 - 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (Please note new address).
