Obituary of Rodney Alderman

Rodney Gene Alderman, 54, passed away January 12, at Akron General Medical Center. Born in Ravenna to Ernest and Shelba Alderman on September 3, 1956, Rod had been a lifetime area resident. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. Rod was employed as a municipal worker for Summit County. Preceded in death by his father, Ernest in 1976, Rod is survived by his mother, Shelba Ake of Solon; wife, Lori of Cuyahoga Falls; brothers, Robert (Sharon) of Canal Fulton and Randy (Laura) of Cuyahoga Falls; stepsons, Michael and Brandon; nephews, Robert (Teresa) Jr., Connor, and Landon; and niece Shelba. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL (at 3rd St., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls), where Fr. Thom McCann will conduct a funeral service at 4 p.m. Interment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
