Obituary of Frank S. Payerle
Frank S. Payerle, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.
Frank was born May 18, 1921 to Frank and Margaret (Almassy) Payerle in Akron and had been a life resident of Akron. He was a graduate of South High School and attended the University of Akron where he studied engineering. He served with the Army Signal Corps during World War II and was sent to both Europe and the Philippines. He worked for Morse Controls in Hudson for 23 years, taking early retirement. After working for several other local firms, he spent his retirement years working for his family and others who needed him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Peg, nee Starkey). He is survived by children - Helen of Cuyahoga Falls, George (Donna) of Sagamore Hills, Paul (Liz) of Charlotte, NC, Teresa of Berlin, Germany, Margaret (Bob) Hoffner of Fairview Park; Ann (Bill) Ancona of Akron, and Marie (Tom) McNeill of Uniontown. Also surviving are siblings Margaret Kence of Akron, Rosemary Vitt of Pittsburgh, Bill of Portage Lakes and George of Akron. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, David, Katie, Lisa, Matthew, Anthony, Andrew, Emily, Shannon, Vincent, Bryan Kelly, Michelle, Luke, Garrett, Patrick, one great-granddaughter Ella, and many nieces and nephews. Frank was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and St. Sebastian Senior Citizens.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 Am at St. Sebastian Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 4 to 8 Pm at Anthony Funeral Home 1990 S.
