Obituary of Harold 'Bud' Coones

Harold 'Bud' L. Coones, 83, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, at the Affinity Medical Center in Massillon. Born in Canal Fulton on December 3, 1927 to the late William and Ella Coones, Harold had been a resident of Massillon since 2002. He previously was a resident of both Cuyahoga Falls and Bonita Springs, FL. He worked for the RCA Rubber Co., retiring in 1978 after 30 years. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife Anita in 2001. He is survived by his children David Coones of Plains Twp., Linda (Nick)Whitacre of Stow, Jerry (Renee) Thigpen of Bonita Springs, FL, Jan (Amy) Thigpen of Luling, LA, Sharon Dietrich of NY, and Ken Thigpen of Humble, TX; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great- grandson; sisters Irene Mischeff of Massillon and Helen Dailey of Akron. Funeral services and interment will take place in Bonita Springs, FL.
