Obituary of Elizabeth S. Christoff

Elizabeth S. (Betty) (Toots) Mosberger Christoff, 91, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. She was born August 21, 1919 to Joseph and Susannah Mosberger in Akron, Ohio. A Homemaker, Elizabeth was married 61 years to Boris Christoff. They raised 2 children, Craig and Linda. Elizabeth was a member of First Grace United Church of Christ for over 60 years where she was a pre-school Sunday school teacher for 43 years. Elizabeth, aka Betty, Toots, loved to bake and cook and was a wonderful homemaker. Children were the love of her life. Reading was her hobby. She would read 2 books a day. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Boris C. Christoff; son, Craig T. Christoff; sister, Kathryn Muck; and brother, Joseph Mosberger. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Adelman of Randolph, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Scott Christoff, Tami Christoff Bowman, Wendy (Todd) Bright, Richard (Julie) Morrow and Jeff (Kasey) Adelman; and 2 great-grandchildren, Samuel Stollar and Hallie Bright. Funeral service will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Rev.
