Obituary of Mary l. Frey

Mary L. Frey (nee Maroni) Mary Frey, 83, was reunited with her beloved son George, who STOOD & carried her into Heaven on December 2, in Tallmadge. Born in Akron on March 25, 1927 to the late Otto & Carrie Maroni, Mary had been a lifetime area resident. She attended Garfield High School. During WWII, she was a 'Rosie the Riveter' and later worked in the bakery at Fazio's, before retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie #555, Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her children George & Susie Frey; brothers Frank and William Maroni and sister Dorothy Benji. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Stephanie (Chappe) and Brian Neiferd of Tallmadge; granddaughters Lisa (Shawn) Osborne and Debra (Brian) Rising, all of Tallmadge; great-grandchildren Jordan, Sarah, Nathan, Ryan, and Amanda; sister-in-law Barbara Lenington; close friend Rosalie MacAleese & family. Mary also leaves behind many longtime family & friends, old buddies from Fazio's, and the neighbors from N. Firestone Blvd: the Wilsons and Andy Oravecz. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Monday, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
