Obituary of Cynthia Mernagh
Cynthia Ann Mernagh, 53, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center.
Cindy was born September 20, 1957 to Carl and Agnes (Mihaly) Gorbach in Akron and had been and Akron resident her entire life. She was a long time member of St. Mary Catholic Church (now St. Bernard St. Mary) where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a Sacristan. She also was a member of Regnum Christi. The most important thing in her life was the Eucharist and she was dedicated to her family.
Cindy is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Dan; children Bro. Michael, Clare, Jane, Bro. Patrick, Bro. Joseph, Bro. Timothy, Thomas and Philip Mernagh; siblings Gregory (Ansleigh) Gorbach, Christine Gorbach, Steven (Shawn) Gorbach Foster, Timothy (Peggy) Gorbach, Carol (Mark) Melchors, Peter (Kay) Gorbach, Jeffrey (Debbie) Gorbach, Coleen (Mark) Dyco and Charlene (Masato) Tabat; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30am at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. followed at 10:00am by a mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard-St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home where a Rosary will be recited at 7:45 pm.
