Obituary of Lewis Stokich

Lewis Stokich, 86, passed away unexpectedly on November 19. Born in Akron on June 11, 1924, Lewis had been a longtime area resident. He was employed as a tire builder for over 40 years with the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., retiring in 1986. Lewis proudly served his country as a medic with the 105th Evacuation Hospital of the US Army during WWII. Lewis was preceded in death by wife Betty, sister Helen Esakov, and brothers Stephen and Melvin Stokich. He is survived by his sister Mickey Stokich, sister-in-law Marlene Stokich, as well as many beloved nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be private with burial to follow at Lakewood Cemetery.
