Obituary of Joan Heasley

Joan Heasley, 80, passed away Friday, November 12, 2010. She was born in Akron and was a graduate of Garfield High School. Mrs. Heasley was a member of the Firestone Park United Methodist Church, Altar Guild, Church Trustee, United Methodist Women and Order of the Eastern Star Jeannette Chapter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; son, Donald; and sisters, Dorothy Madjerec, Betty Staitz and Eleanor Rountree. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Jan Heasley; sister, Donna Hines; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the Firestone Park United Methodist Church, 250 N. Firestone Blvd. in Akron. Rev. Max Beery officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron.
