Obituary of Gayle Hawkinberry

Gayle Hawkinberry, 71, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010. She was born on February 14, 1939 in Munfordville, Kentucky to Jeff D. and Mary (Taylor) Staples and was an Akron area resident for most of her adult life. She was a member of the Manchester Trinity Chapel and was a Registered Nurse at the Brecksville VA Hospital retiring in 1995 after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; and sisters, Gerry Wilson and Sandy Staples. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Scott Gerber; grandchildren, Leo and Ayla; sisters, Joyce Hockersmith, Ann Logsdon and Helen Digh; brothers, Jeff D. Staples, Jr. and James E. Staples; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed. Funeral service will be held MONDAY, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) in Cuyahoga Falls.
