Obituary of Milan Vrhovac
Milan Vrhovac, 79, passed away on Sunday, November 7, in Norton.
Born in the former Yugoslavia (Buinski Rjecani-Krajina) on June 10, 1931, Milan had been an area resident since 1969. He attended St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church. Milan retired from Universal Tire Mold in 1993, where he worked as a tire mold maker.
He enjoyed his final days watching Serbian Television ('Farm') and drinking coffee with his sister-in-law Mileva Rabljenovic.
Milan was preceded in death by his parents Despot and Milka; beloved wife Marija in 2008; brothers Radovan and Jovan and nephew Ratko. He is survived by his daughters Milka (ex-son-in-law Vaso) Vukelic of Wadsworth, Anka 'Ann' (Milodar 'Mike') Cvetkovich of Tallmadge, and Vesna (Zlatko, 'Mike') Bozir of Escondido, CA; grandchildren Dragan Vukelic, Mira (Dragoslav) Karac, Milan and Dejan Cvetkovich, and Steven and Christopher Bozir; great grandchildren Daniel and Viktoria Karac; nephews Dusan and Zoran.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Parastas will take place at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:00 pm at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church on Wallings Rd. in Broadview Heights, where Milan will lie in state for one half hour prior to the service. Fathers Milusenich and Matic officiating. Interment will follow at St. Sava Cemetery.
