Obituary of Robert A. Singer
Robert A Singer, 89 passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2010 at Akron City Hospital.
Bob was born April 9, 1921 to Michael and Elizabeth (Bauer) Singer in Akron, and a Green resident since 1962.
Bob leaves his loving wife, of 64 years Eunice; four children; Donald (Nikki), Janet (Denny) Loudermilk, James (Kathy) and Jean (Bob) Spangler; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Bob worked 41 years at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. He volunteered for 20 years at the Ohio Bell Pioneers Society for the blind repairing talking books and various electronic entertainment devices. He was a life member of the Communications Workers Union.
Bob was an avid fisherman, ham radio operator, and enjoyed inventing electronic testing equipment for Ohio Bell. He always had a great love of music particularly the Big Band Era.
Bob's family is grateful to Internal Medicine of Green, especially Doctors Matt Taylor and Michael Wells. He will be missed by his family and friends in both Ohio and Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at10:00 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 5 to 8 P.M. at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 (in Green on the roundabout at Steese and Massillon Rds).
