Obituary of Isabel Mae Bittner
Isabel Mae Bittner, 85, passed away on October 20, at Akron City Hospital.
Born in Sycamore, OH on March 21, 1925 to the late William and Bessie Moran, Isabel had been an Akron resident since the age of 12. During WWII Isabel worked as a 'Rosie the Riveter' riveting airplane wings for the Firestone Co. Isabel was a proud and steadfast volunteer at Akron City Hospital for over 25 years.
In addition to her parents, Isabel was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her daughter Cheryl, as well as 3 siblings. She is survived by her son Bob (Nancy) of Akron and daughter Barbara (Lawrence) Dolensky of Tallmadge; grandchildren Michelle (Scott) Frambach, Jean (J.P.) Scott, and Cheryl and Michael Dolensky; great-grandchildren Greta, Sadie, and Jake, as well as many friends & good neighbors.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 am at the Montrose Zion Church on Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron.
