Obituary of Dora Cowan

Dora Cowan, 81, passed away October 6, 2010. Born in Elizabeth, W. Va. on March 27, 1929 to the late Jesse and Gertha Barton, Dora had been an Akron resident since the 1950's. She was a member of the Arlington Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and siblings, Pearl, Bob, Geneva, and Leon Barton, Marie and Opal Hardbarger, Gladys Hayes, and Marjorie Ecker. She is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Hardbarger of Akron; brother, Denzil (Caroline) Barton; and sisters, Beatrice (Gene) Oliver and Rosa (Terry) Hardbarger; brother-in-law Geoff Ecker; and special nephew, Kevin Ecker. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place on Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. Anthony Funeral Homes
