Obituary of Peter Kirek

Peter Kirek, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. He was born in Akron and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Mr. Kirek was retired from Sears and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; three sisters; and one brother. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Roseann and Steve Dowling; sons, Paul and Michael Kirek; sister, Olga Korora; grandchildren, Christopher "CJ" Dowling, Jasah (Mark) Jones and Jerrica (Josh) Bottoms; and great-grandchildren, Jason and Jordon. Funeral services will be held SATURDAY, 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. and at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church.
