Obituary of C. Jay Stevens

Jay Stevens, 35, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2010. Born in Akron on February 7, 1975, Jay had been a lifetime area resident and currently resided in Barberton. He was employed as a truck driver by the Village Discount Outlet. Jay was an avid fisherman and hunter. Most of all, Jay was a devoted family man, especially to his daughter Hannah. Jay was preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Dorothy Jones and Sylvia O'Donald. He is survived by his mother and father Teressa and Walter Stevens of Akron; daughter Hannah Stevens; fiancee Carla Vesa of Barberton; sisters Kim (Tony) Rorrer of Suffield and Mindi (Kevin Shue) Stevens of Akron; nephews Ben, Nathan, and Xander Rorrer and niece Melora Shue, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
