Obituary of Maria Wallis

GREEN - Beloved mother, Maria Vanko Wallis, 94, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was born October 1, 1918 to Steve and Mary (Misura) Vanko in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Marie lived her life loving and caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, playing the organ and going out to eat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gordon, son Vincent Pavlic and siblings Tillie, Helen, Bertha and Stephen. She is survived by her children Mary Jane (Dick) Dodson, Fran (Kim) Stueber, Nancy (Ron) Snyder and Tony (Lori) Pavlic; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Thank you to everyone for your support, thoughts and prayers and to the Hospice of Summa staff for your devotion and diligence. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Green.
