Obituary of Robert Schlosser

Robert Schlosser, 84, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010. He was born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania and was a systems analyst for General Tire with 40 years of service retiring in 1985. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree and the General Tire Retiree's Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Clara (Stern) Schlosser; wife, Virginia (Heyne) in 2007; and brother-in-law, Roger Ryan. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Gloria and Joseph and Anita; daughter and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Craig Gillenwater; sisters, Margaret (Ambrose) Ryan and Joanne (Bill) Errett; grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa) Gillenwater, Captain Dustin Gillenwater and Jonathon and Margaret Schlosser; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10:15 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron and at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Barberton. Fr. Robert Jackson officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
