Obituary of Helen A. Horvath

Helen A. Horvath, 89, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on July 31 at the Copley Health Center. Born in Akron on March 9, 1921, Helen grew up on a farm and was proud of her Hungarian heritage. She married Frank Horvath in 1947 and together they raised four boys. She loved quilting and playing her accordion. Helen was a longtime volunteer for the Visiting Nurse Service of Akron. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sr. in 1989 and her son Frank Jr. in 2003. She is survived by her sons James (Amy) of Copley, Bill (Kathy) of Copley, and Sandor of Akron; daughter-in-law Deborah of Akron; grandchildren Neil, Jaclyn (Todd), Rebecca, Victoria, Julia, Kelsey, Sarah, and Kristina; great-grandchildren Grace and Andrew, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, 11:00 am at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Service of Akron 1 Home Care Place Akron, Ohio 44320.
