Obituary of Beecher Fannin

Beecher Fannin, 91, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010. He was born in Elliot County, Kentucky and retired from Mohawk Tire and Rubber Company as Plant Manager. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving in the Pacific with the 37th Division during World War II where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the D.A.V. and the Mohawk Retirees Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Amanda (Adkins) Fannin; five brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Audrey; son, Philip (Sandra); daughters, Mary (Robert) Hiley and Sue Ellen Morris (Richard Austin); sisters, Betty Jo Mault, Ann McCoy and Jane Fannin; grandchildren, Philip, Jr. (Angela) and Erin Fannin, Jennifer (Aidan) Kilker, Molly Anne Hiley (James Halicki), Scott (Charlotte) and Benjamin (Robin) Morris and Amanda (Michael) Duda; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (Please note new address) in Akron. Rev. Mike Prebynski officiating.
