Obituary of Sarah M. Romano
Sarah M. Romano, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on July 13, at the age of 96.
Born in Barnesboro, PA on November 21, 1913, Sarah had been an area resident for most of her life. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Copley. She was retired from the Parisian, a clothing boutique, where she had worked as a sales clerk.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father and step-mother Anthony and Rose Romano; brother Albert and sisters Josephine, Rose, and Marie. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Katherine and Loyd Huhn of Palm Harbor, FL, Dolores and Leonard Klein of Akron, and Georgiana and Dudley Colvin of Akron; grandchildren John, Larry (Laurie), and Alan Beck, Amy (Eric) Scholz, Vince (Marilyn), Marty (Barb), and Dr. Leonard (Lynn) Klein, Deanne (Scott) McQuaide, Tina (Mark) Vagedes, Kristen (Todd) Popovic, and Lauren (Troy) Hudkins; 22 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Kramer on Saturday at 10:00 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Copley. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guardian Angels Catholic Church 1686 Cleveland-Massillion Rd Copley, OH 44321.
