Obituary of Charles D. Deering
Charles D. Deering, 85, passed away on June 8, 2010 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in North Canton.
He was born in Graham, Kentucky on September 20, 1924 to the late Dudley and Leota Deering, and was a lifelong area resident. Charles honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II, and retired from General Tire. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and was an avid golfer, loved music and played the piano.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Linda in 2001. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Pam Deering and daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bob Halle; grandchildren, Kyle and Laura Deering, Scott Frakes, Rachel (Chris) Lego, Jamie (Dave) Hicks; great-grandchildren, Allison (Chris), Thomas, Jacqueline, Aiden, Adyson, Cerys, and great-great-granddaughter, Ava.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff at St. Luke Lutheran Home, and a special thank you to the very kind caregivers within Cypress Point.
