Obituary of Aaron Michael Nathe
Aaron Michael Nathe, 24, passed away on June 5 at Akron Children's Medical Center after a courageous nine year battle with Leukemia.
Born on Columbus A.F.B. in Mississippi on August 19, 1985 to Michael and Linda (Meckes) Nathe, Aaron had been an area resident since 2000. He was a 2004 graduate of Norton High School where he excelled not only in academics, but in basketball and tennis as well. Aaron loved the Cavs, as well as fishing and golf. He was also an avid coin collector and a 'Trekkie'. Aaron was a member of the Ohio Chapter of NORML.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Meckes and his grandmother, Celia Nathe. In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by his brother Kyle of Akron and sister Melissa of Calif.; grandmother, Emily Meckes and grandfather, Donald Nathe; aunts and uncles, Bryan (Terri) Meckes of Pa., Cathy (Ghazi) Rousan of Calif., Tony Nathe of Texas, Anna (Happy) Friel of Calif., and Lisa Nathe of Calif.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 to 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oncology Department at Akron Children's Medical Center, 1 Perkins Square, Akron, Ohio 44308.
