Obituary of Rose Angela Schiavone
Rose Angela Schiavone (nee Maimone), 91, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2010 at The Green View Inn in Green.
Born on April 14, 1919 in Ravenna, Ohio, Rose had been a lifetime area resident. She was a graduate of Ravenna High School. Rose was employed as a buyer for Polsky's Department Store, retiring in 1978 after 30 years. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church, and was a member of the MSC Auxiliary and the Polsky Retirees Club.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2003; father, Salvatore Maimone; mother and stepfather, Anna and James Larcus; and sister, Mary Diezman. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Eleanor and Robert Shoenfelt of Green and Anita and Warren Kuetemeyer of Woodstock, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Josephine Larcus of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Jim Podojil of Trinity, Fla.; grandchildren, Kathleen (Frank) Beer, Robert Shoenfelt, Jack (Jackie) Shoenfelt, Stacy (Steven) Hall, and Derrick Kopec; great-grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Jackson, Jeffrey, James Shoenfelt, and Joey Chiavetta.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ralph Thomas on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. in Akron. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
