Obituary of Bruce B. Styles

Bruce B. Styles, 58, passed away on May 23, 2010 at Akron City Hospital. Born in Akron on November 4, 1951 to the late Frank and Edna Styles, Bruce had been a longtime Cuyahoga Falls resident. He retired from the US Postal Service in October of 2009 after 31 years of service. Bruce proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the American Legion. Bruce is survived by his loving daughter Michelle (fiance James May) Styles; granddaughters Lilly & Abby May; brothers Father Kenneth S.J., James, and Gene Styles and sister Kathleen (Dave Brown) Scafidi; nieces & nephews Erin, Antonio, Michael, Stanley, Julie, Jamie, Emily, and Morgan; great-nephew Tyler and great-niece Tia. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL (at 3rd st., one block north of Portage Trail in the Falls). Per his wishes, Bruce's remains will be buried at sea by the US Navy with full military honors.
