Obituary of Steve John Taylor

Steve J. Taylor, Jr., 93, passed away Sunday. March, 28, 2010. Steve was born May 7, 1916 to Steve J. Taylor, Sr. and Mary (Sabo) Taylor in Barberton and had been a area resident his entire life. He was employed by Abex Corp. as a Tire Tread Carver. He was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church. He proudly served his country during World War II as a Navy SEABEE. Steve is survived by daughter, Kathy of Cuyahoga Falls; brother, Alton (Julia) Taylor of Cuyahoga Falls; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and special friends. In addition to his parents; Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Julia in 1982 and his long time companion, Virginia Baudas. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends TONIGHT (Tuesday) 4 to 7 p.m. at Anthony Funeral Home McGOWAN- REID AND SANTOS CHAPEL (corner of Third St. and Stow Ave. one block north of Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls).
