Lyndon Moody Mull
Lyndon M. Mull, 77, passed away unexpectedly on June 24 at Akron City Hospital.
Born in Cherokee County, NC on June 20, 1933 to the late William and Myrtle Mull, Lyndon had been an area resident for most of his life. He was a retired tire builder and inspector from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. and also worked as a crane operator for the Burger Iron Company. Lyndon was a member of the Wayfarer Masonic Lodge and was also a 32nd Degree Master Mason. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and, along with his wife Joan, traveled on his bike in all of the lower 48 states.
In addition to his parents, Lyndon was preceded in death by his brother Chester and sister Kathleen McClure. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan of Akron; son and daughter-in-law Don and Helen Mull of North Canton and daughter Judy Johns of Green; sister Juanita Ivey of TN; grandchildren Tyler (Amanda), Alexandra, Cody, and Beau Mull and Ross and Samantha Johns; great-grandson Vincent.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
