Obituary of Veronica Baan

Veronica Baan, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Lorantffy Care Center. She was born August 13, 1935 to Istvan and Elizabeth (Nagy) Baan in Somogyszil, Hungary. She came to the United States and Akron 1956 to escape the turmoil of the Hungarian Revolution. She was employed by Akron General Medical Center in housekeeping for over 25 years, retiring in 1991. In addition to her parents Veronica is preceded in death death by her aunt Elizabeth Schleier and leaves her cousin and guardian Elizabeth (James) Six and several family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11:00am at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (Please note new address) where the family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 am until the time of services. Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery.
