Obituary of Joseph P Natoli
Joseph P. Natoli passed away Friday, July 2, 2010.
He born on July 23, 1916 in Akron and had been an Akron resident (Firestone Park) his entire life. Joe was employed by Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. for 41yrs (Plant1), retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Firestone Retirees, Knights of Columbus Council 3410 and was a former member at Firestone Country Club for 30 years. He enjoyed athletics as a youth, playing all the sports. In his later years, the former Akron Beacon Journal Red Pepper football player enjoyed golf and bowling. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to his family, his generosity to all and his strong work ethic.
He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa (the mother of his children), son Tom, four brothers, five sisters and his wife Patricia. He is survived by sons Joe (Sue) and Mike (Gloria), four grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Isabella, and Sara (Andy), three great-grandchildren, two step-children, Debbie (David) and Randy, and many nieces &nephews.
According to his wishes, a private family service will be conducted at Holy Cross Cemetery on Thursday, July 8, 2010. Cremation has taken place. No other services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul School Endowment, 1580 Brown St, Akron OH 44301. Online condolences may be sent to www.anthonyfh.com.
