Obituary of Margaret V. Halstead
Margaret V. Halstead passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2009 at Aultman Hospital.
She was born March 3, 1926 to Andrew and Mary (Kuvas) Macnik in Chicago, Ill. and had been a Stark County resident since 1995.
Margaret's passion was her family and she was selfless in her dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Sam on October 7, 2009, and is survived by her children, Donald (Sherri) Halstead of Ashburn, Va., Linda Herron of Lorton, Va., James Halstead of Green, Barbara (John) Heinzen of Grayslake, Ill., Kathryn (Rana) Jamil of Green and Jennifer Lightcap of Perry Twp.; sister, Anne Uhrania of Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Patricia (Marty) Easter, Rebecca, Sean and Paul Halstead, Courtney (Steve) Hahn, Hayley (George) Hudson, Nathan and Bryan Herron, Jason (Amanda Bortz), Michelle and Jenna Jamil, and James and Ashley Lightcap; great-grandchildren, Noah, Asher and Sadie Easter. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mildred Slusarski and Stephan Macnik.
A Remembrance Service will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Steese and Massillon Road in Green). The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Anthony Funeral Homes
