Obituary of Majorie L. Ecker
Marjorie L. Ecker, 70, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her home.
She was born February 7, 1940 to Jesse Gertha (Kline) Barton in Elizabeth, W. Va. and had been an area resident for 50 years. Marjorie's life centered around her faith in Jesus, her husband, Geoff, her son, Kevin and the children of others that were entrusted to her care. She was a life member of Life Spring Christian Church where she watched over the ``Little Lambs' Sunday School Class over 20 years.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Geoff; son, Kevin of the home; siblings, Denzil (Caroline) Barton, Dora Cowan, Beatrice (Gene) Oliver and Rosa (Terry) Hardbarger. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Pearl, Bob and Leon Barton, Gladys Hayes, Marie Hardbarger, Opal Hardbarger and Geneva Barton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. (please note new address), Rev. Terry Baker officiating. Interment will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at East Liberty Cemetery in Green. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
