Obituary of Ernest Horvath
Ernest Horvath, 90, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010.
He was born in West Virginia and retired from the Chrysler Corporation. Mr. Horvath was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces serving during World War II and was an avid gardener. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Akron General Medical Center Nursing Unit 5400 and to the Visiting Nurse Service Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Rd.
Mr. Horvath was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Sophia; first wife, Helen; and second wife, Judith. He is survived by daughter, Barbara Whitt; sons, Michael (Stephanie), Steven (Barbara), Charles (Patti) and Christopher; friend and caregiver, Donna Dalrymple; and grandchildren, Jeffrey and Bryan Whitt, Miles and Marlena Hlivko, Mason Dies and Ashley, Ariana and Zachary Horvath.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Rev. Frank Lonteen officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery where Firestone VFW Post 3383 will also conduct military honors. The family will receive friends Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
