Obituary of Bernice Ashton

Bernice A. Ashton, 87, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010. She moved on to be reunited with her husband, Mearl; and was also preceded in death by her children, Edward and Lynne. She is survived by children, Jeff (Kathy) Ashton and Rae Stickel; daughter-in-law, Janice Ashton; brothers, Alfred (Colleen) and David (Judy) Ahart; sister, Artha Hawksley; grandchildren, Dawn (Kenny) Swank, Curt (Vanessa) Stickel; Brian (Jen) Ashton; Jill (Jeff) Metzger and Paul, Andrew and Amy Ashton; and great-grandchildren, Alec, Dylan, Logan and Colton. In life, she enjoyed being near family. She would often take trips with them to Myrtle Beach and Amish country. She loved to spend time watching classic movies, reading and spending time with her dog, Charlie. We wish to thank Dr. Molly Scantling and the staff at the Hospice Care Center. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. Rev. Don Baird officiating.
