Obituary of Joseph Paronish

Joseph Paronish, 81, went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2010.
Born in Watkins, PA on December 13, 1928, Joe had been a resident of Green since 1957. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church. Joseph worked for over 34 years as a tire builder for General Tire, retiring in 1985. He also served his country as a veteran of the US Army during WWII and was a member of the Ukrainian War Veterans of America.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Wasco and Catherine; brothers John and Frank and sister Pauline. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Magdalene; sons and daughters-in-law Paul and Candace of Beverly, OH and Joseph Jr. and April of Fairfield, IN; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Bruce Palmer of Canal Fulton; grandchildren Morgan and Matthew Paronish and sisters Ann Schrenkel of Manchester and Irene Rieger of Barnesboro, PA.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church on Brown St. in Akron. Memorial donations may be made to the church at 1866 Brown St. Akron, OH 44301.
