Obituary of Janice Powers- Safran

Janice Powers-Safran, 58, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at her home in Cleveland. She was born in Akron and was a graduate of Garfield High School Class of 1969. She was an avid collector of music and movies. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved her cat, Picabo, II. Special thanks to the Absolute Nursing Service of Cleveland and to Zilphy, for their love, support and care. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Coleman P. Powers; and is survived by her husband, Robert J. Safran, Sr.; mother, Katharine (Yerkey) Powers; sisters, Dianne (Glen) Phelps and Patricia (Tom) Ingram; niece, Poppy (Chris) Moritz; nephew, James (Kim) Knisely, II; and great-nieces and nephews, Becky, Terry, Alecia, Jennifer, Emily and Haley. Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
