Obituary of Gregory A. Smith

Gregory A. Smith, 43, passed away on Monday May 3, 2010 at Aultman Hospital surrounded by family after battling cancer. Gregory will be remembered by his sons Anthony D. Smith and Nicholas A. Matthews; mother Barbara J. Smith; siblings Christopher D. Smith, Beth Ann Smith, Bradley E. Smith, Jean M. Wurgler and nieces and nephews Kenneth, Jessica, Gary, David, Samantha, Kristina, Alexandra, Cody and Taylor. Gregory was preceded in death by his father David L. Smith and nephew Colin D. Smith. Gregory was the youngest of five children, graduated from Green High School in 1984 and was employed by Wyan Auto Parts in Tallmadge until his death. Gregory never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face and was a good friend to many. Music was his joy and he was most proud of his son Anthony. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the Anthony & Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd. (off the circle on Massillon and Steese Rds). Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
