Obituary of Dorothy Helen Efstathiou

Dorothy Helen Efstathiou Dorothy Helen Efstathiou, age 88, passed away April 25, 2010. She was born in Westville, NJ, April 15, 1922 and moved to the Akron area in 1927. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Philiptochos Society Melissa, and the Asia Minor Hellenic American Society. She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Margaret Marcus,adopted mother Despina Efstathiou, brother Harry, and aunts Smaro Pavlakis and Irene Gregory. She is survived by her cousins; Nicholas (Clara) Paul of Toronto Canada, Peter Pavlakis of New York City, Nico Paul of Toronto, Canada, and Andrew Paul of New Market, Canada, nieces Sheila (Marcus) Leppert of Morehead City, NC., Terri (Marcus) Lager of Abilene, TX., and Kathie (Marcus) Bealer of Charleston, SC. and other relatives in Canada, North Carolina and Florida; good friends Lence (Dimce) Dukovski and their children Sasho Dukovski and Sonja (Buddy) Canterbury and their daughter Malina. Calling hours will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony Kertesz Chapel 1990 S. Main St. where a Trisagion service will be at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday 11 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 129 S. Union St. Akron, 44304, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given to the Church.
