Obituary of Shirley Ann Gordon

Shirley Ann Gordon Shirley Ann Gordon, 67, passed away unexpectedly on April 23. Born in Akron on May 27, 1942 to the late John and Cecilia Klein, Shirley had been a lifetime area resident.Shirley loved her family and loved caring for other people, including the countless children she has cared for over the years. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Fenton in 1994. She is survived by her children Mickey (Melody Hicks) Gordon of Akron, Greg Mealka of S.C., and Cindy (Greg) Borocki of Uniontown; brother Bob (Joyce) Klein of MD and sister Dorothy (Butch) Bridges of Akron; grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Andrew, Nicole, Grey, and Katie and special grandchild Ashley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the family.
